Korčula

VRBOVICA

Five minutes from the house on foot.

A piece of heaven — our family stone house on the island of Korčula, built by our ancestors and shaped by generations. A place filled with the scent of pines, the Adriatic and wild Mediterranean herbs.

Built by our great-grandparents

Our great-grandparents built the house with their own hands. At first it was small and modest; each generation since has added something of its own — another wall, another room, another carefully placed stone.

It is a family place rather than a purpose-built rental, and the sea has always been part of everyday life here.

The covered terrace with stone pillars, a table set in the shade

The covered terrace becomes the heart of the house: long lunches, evening dinners and unhurried conversations in the shade.

Thick stone walls keep the rooms cool through the warm days.

Inside

Marble floors run through the house, continuing into the bathroom — cool underfoot and perfectly suited to Mediterranean summers.

“The water is crystal clear, the house is wonderful, and the garden and outdoor space are beautiful. It feels private, peaceful and safe.”

Shade

Pines, oaks and oleander; birdsong in the morning, lemons waiting to be picked.

The island

Beyond the bay, the island opens out: the channel, the mountains of the mainland, limestone shores and Korčula town five minutes away.
